Potter formed The Carrie Potter Group, LLC in 2006 to manage professional athletes by focusing on three key priorities: protect their earnings, invest for their future, and give back to the community. Her advisory business has since expanded and now includes small businesses and entertainers as clients.
Prior to forming The Carrie Potter Group, Potter served as Vice President and Marketing Manager of P.M.G. Sports and Entertainment in Washington, D.C. At PMG, she assisted in the negotiation of NBA player contracts and implemented marketing partnerships with the NBA, several NBA teams, and heavyweight businesses such as Reebok, EA Sports, Papa Johns, Taco Bell, Pepsi, American Express, and Toyota. Potter was also responsible for client financial matters including insurance, real estate, cash management, and bill payment; evaluating business opportunities; philanthropic matters and public relations; and client interface.
Neal joined The Carrie Potter Group in April 2013 as the Marketing Manager, leading the development and implementation of marketing strategies, events and partnerships. Her experience in the Ticketing and Event Management Department at the Houston Texans the past six years has prepared her well to manage CPG's marketing efforts.
Attending the University of Arkansas on a soccer scholarship, Neal graduated in 2004 with a degree in Journalism: Advertising and Public Relations. While in Fayetteville, she began to work for the Women’s Athletic Department, assisting with media relations and event management. After graduation she spent some time in the world of minor league baseball and hockey, handling marketing, sponsorship, operations and events.
Murphy joined The Carrie Potter Group in May 2012 as the Marketing Coordinator, developing and implementing marketing strategies and coordinating events. But Murphy is no stranger to the world of sports management. She attended The George Washington University on a full athletic scholarship for Division I Women’s Gymnastics. Murphy flourished as Team Captain and still managed to maintain a spot on the Dean’s List throughout her four years at GW.
